'Troupant' is the Afrikaans word for a lilac-breasted roller, a sociable African bird. With its pastel feathers, striking marks and long tail streamers, it is considered one of the most beautiful birds in the world.

Troupant Publishers specialises in vocational learning and teaching materials aimed at preparing learners for the workplace or supporting those in employment to progress.
Troupant offers an extensive range of textbooks – student’s books and lecturer’s guides – developed to deliver both the National Certificate (Vocational) and Nated (Report 191) curricula in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Colleges.
Troupant publications can be purchased in both hard copy and e-book format. Digital lecturer support material accompanies many lecturer’s guides. Troupant has developed digital professional support material for lecturers on commission from the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET).
