Our purpose is to help you weave beautiful words through the world! Here are the some of the ways we can do this:
TRADITIONAL PUBLISHING
If you've written a spectacular book, we fund and publish it for you. You would earn royalties from every sale. The widely known figure says that 1% of manuscripts in the world ever get self-published. If you know your book belongs among that 1%, submit it to us for consideration by professionally following the guidelines on our manuscript submissions page.
HYBRID PUBLISHING
This is the new face of publishing and we highly recommend it for authors who want to benefit from the sales of their book. We go 50/50 with you on the publishing costs, and therefore split all sales money 50/50. For the financially savvy person who knows that a book is a passive income investment. Again, the submissions guidelines must be carefully followed, as any decision to invest in your book depends on you and your book making a good first impression.
SELF-PUBLISHING
Much of our top sellers list is made up of self-published titles and some of our self-published have been nominated for and won awards even up against traditionally published books in the same category. Were you able to tell they were different? No. This is because we have the same team working on every book we do, whether it is traditional, hybrid, or self-published. You are getting the traditional publishing experience, with all the self-publishing benefits - book rights, control over the copies, and revenue. ONLINE BOOKSTORE
A pristine archive of new and used books are available by browsing the categories on the left. Delivery to any address in South Africa at a R100 flat rate - meaning you can order as many books as your library can hold.
WRITING OF YOUR BOOK
A bespoke, personalized service whereby we come out to you to go over the material in the book, and handle everything for you, from writing it to printing it. This service is only available upon approved request by senior management.
CONSULTATIONS
A one-on-one session in which a certified editor will guide you in your book planning or structuring before you embark on writing. Readily available to you, at R200/hour. This is a professional investment into the trajectory your novel takes in the publishing industry as all professional publishers do not allow re-submissions of books that didn't get their content right the first time.
BOOK LAUNCHES
Currently only available in Durban and surrounds. We handle everything from photographers, to venue, to invites, to catering and decor, to media presence and coverage. You are a celebrity for the day. Events can be stylish summer chic or classy champagne occasions.
FILM
KREST Publishers works with a film production house rooted in Durban. We write them commissioned stories for film.
WRITERS ACADEMY
We run an online writers academy called the KREST Creative Conservatoire. Topics covered are everything from writing film-adaptable books, to pitching to publishers. Conservatoire students go on to have opportunities to write on KREST projects; previous students have landed publishing contracts at traditional houses and placed highly in writing competitions. KREST CARS MAGAZINE
We are the publishing house behind the KREST Cars magazine, a 'VIP ticket to the SA car scene', which focuses on bold backstories of supercar collectors, automotive industry players, and events. Collect recent and older editions from the KREST Cars category on the left.
